The Calling to Plant Churches
Jeff Leake has led Allison Park Church to be involved in church planting for more than two decades. But in 2011, God began to widen Allison Park Church’s church planting lens from Pittsburgh, as the sole target city, to the entire Northeastern region of the US.
Jeff sensed God was calling him towards establishing a vision to see one-hundred churches planted across the Northeastern US in ten years. From this vision, the Reach Northeast church planting network was formed.
In 2016, Reach Northeast accomplished the 100 churches goal, completing it in only five years, instead of ten. Living out the verse Matthew 6:33, “But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.”
Reach Northeast Today
Today, Reach Northeast is an apostolic family of churches and leaders, called to resource and equip church planters, and birth church planting networks.
We believe the key to successful ministry or church planting is simple: Ask God what he wants to do. Do whatever He tells you. Reach Northeast is a place where people are sent out, then come back for encouragement, vision, training and resourcing, then are sent out again. There is a family mentality, a spirit of impartation, and an atmosphere of the apostolic that sets Reach Northeast apart from any other organization.
