Start The New Year Right

This next year is a big year for me personally, as I am turning 50!  One of the items on my ‘bucket list’ is to run a half-marathon at 50 years of age.  So I am already in training for that race in May.

The start of a new year is always a great season to begin well or begin again.

I want to challenge you to join me in some way, during the first three weeks of the year, by launching some habits to start the year right.

Normally, we take some time for FASTING and PRAYER at the beginning of every new year.  I want to encourage you to consider some type of fasting during this time (a meal, a day, a week, or a modified ‘daniel fast’).

I am going to be doing a 21 Day modified fast this year (no meats, sweets, or dairy) similar to what is recorded for us in the book of Daniel, chapter one.

My choice of the modified fast this year is so that I can continue my EXERCISE HABITS during this season as well.

We have a few weeks before the start of the New Year.  You have some time to think about how you want to begin the year right.

I believe God has great things in store for us as we step boldly into the future.
